F-5E problem with TrackIR

Hi I have a problem with TrackIR zoom (axis Z) with F5 Dcs 2.xxx, other axis work fine instead zoom nope

F-5E TIR Issues in DCS v2 OpenAlpha

 

I have the exact same issue.

The Attached Images illustrate that this is an issue solely with the F-5E (in DCS v2 OpenAlpha) and is not consistent with any other Aircraft/Mods.

1 image shows the issue/error and 2 other images are examples showing that this is a problem ONLY with the F-5E.

BTW - This issue eliminates the ability to Zoom IN/OUT on anything inside or outside the cockpit.

Furthermore, it makes the Campaign even more difficult to follow (as if the Campaign wasn't already too complex and confusing enough !).

Thank a lot I have limited movement for zoom in axis z on trackir all other aircraft work very well

As much as I love sittin' here in my "Pink Flight Suit", it can be a bit embarrassing when guests arrive ! Especially if I'm cold too ! :)

Red lines in the config normally indicate the binding does not exist in the module, but that you've got an old .diff.lua file which contains it.

 

Delete (or rename) your F5 input folder from your saves and rebind it all.

 

Location:

C:\Users\{username}\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Config\Input\F-5E-3\

Question:

Did you copy your binds from 1.5 to 2.0? 2.0 is lagging behind so that might break stuff.

I appreciate the solution to resolve the red line problem BUT does this mean I can no longer Zoom OUTSIDE the aircraft ?

 

I don't care if that ability is realistic or not. Until I can see objects with better definition, I will continue to need the ability to zoom.

 

This alone may be enough to keep me from being able to really enjoy the Gazelle.
