Howdy all,

I was wondering if it was possible to play a sound upon player/client ejection. The sound I want to play is attached below in case anyone else wants it (Sounds of the ejection beacon from Vietnam).

I was wondering what you all think is the best combination of triggers to figure this out. I tried Unit speed less than 50 but altitude above 100 and time more than X. I dont think you can hear sounds after ejection but maybe the rest of the coalition can. I didnt see anything in cockpit apartments referencing ejection parameter.

barring that is there a way for a player to manually invoke a flag or trigger within game with a key stroke?

Thanks.

You can add a radio item, but I think these may disappear for the ejected pilot once he's out of the cockpit.

The quick and easy way is to use Ciribob's excellent CSAR script which you can find here:

https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-CSAR

simply replace "beacon.ogg" with your own sound (be sure to use the same name!) and you should achieve the desired effect. :)

Any time a pilot ejects, and infantry unit (optionally configurable as invisible/immortal) will be spawned at the spot where they ejected and an ADF beacon will automatically be deployed. Helicopters can then rescue the infantry unit by landing near them, then taking them back to a friendly FARP, airfield, or designated M.A.S.H. unit.
