Reflying a track, is this possible?

Example: I have a track I recorded with some friends flying together with me. Is it possible to fly this track in either my jet or a new jet, just so I can refly it with their planes in it?

So the track would be playing on in all respects, but you'd be free to do what you wanted with your aircraft?

 

 

Pretty sure that's not possible. Suspect it would confuse the hell out of the game :P

Can't you chose Fly and then Ctrl+Q to take control like in the training tracks?

In a word, no. In single player tracks you can take over the aircraft after the track starts with CTRL-Q and refly your part of the mission. The AI would then react to anything new you might do and it runs like a regular mission.

 

In online (multi-player) tracks, however, there is no AI to fly your friend's aircraft. So CTRL-Q is disabled.

I've seen some references to setting up a "phantom server" that may do what you're wanting.
