TheDoctorB Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure if this is in the right place or not, mods please move if necessary. I have been playing DCS for a few months now and made my first sortie in the online environment last night, on the Burning Skies server in my Spit IX. It started well with 2 kills on my first flight but what followed can only be described as a total shambles. It became very clear to me that flying on your own is a big mistake, which brings me to the reason for my post. Where can I go for my training? Are there any other new players out there looking to buddy up or perhaps a squadron that would be able to provide some level of guidance in a combat environment? I am from the UK I fly (/my modules are): Spit IX - just need an element leader/wingman F-5 - I have an understanding of the systems, I just don't know how to employ them in combat UH-1 - I can fly it (sort of) just haven't tried combat yet F86 - I am most proficient in this module A-10c - Lots of learning/practice needed Viggen - Not up to speed yet I have a few other modules that I have not really flown yet such as 109,190,P51,Mig15+21, I also have the FC3 aircraft although I prefer the full fidelity modules. I have all three versions of DCS installed, including Nevada. Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if I could be pointed in the right direction at least. The community here is amazingly helpful and knowledgeable, I just hope I don't come across as being too needy. :joystick::helpsmilie: TL DR - Can you be my friend? feefifofum Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Our primary focus is modern airframes, but many of us do get on a WW2 kick from time to time. Feel free to drop in and say hello; we offer combat training in most of the airframes you're interested in and run a weekly group mission Sundays at 8PM Eastern. http://355thvfs.enjin.com THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
TheDoctorB Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Thank you for the replies, I'll make sure to check the links. I should make it clear that I am interested in flying all types of aircraft, I'm just more proficient in the older aircraft due to the lack of advanced avionics.
