I am a little confused with where to set my settings. When available in game, is it best to set them there with Nvidia CP set for application controlled or set them in Nvidia CP? A search turned up a lot of posts on this, but most were years old.

I personally use in the game's GUI to set my graphics settings rather than the Nvidia control panel. I find them to be pretty good as is and get good performance as well.

Also the Nvidia settings wont work in the game unless you use ALT + ENTER to go true fullscreen. (Tested with the latest release version, not sure about OB or 2.0 Alpha)

Thanks for the quick response. When set ingame, do you set the control panel to application controlled, or is this not needed. I guess what I am asking is does the control panel override what is set in game?

Yes it does, as long as it is not set to "application controlled" and of course you go ALT + ENTER.

I use this to enable adaptive V-SYNC in the game, which I find works much better (for me) than the regular ingame vsync.

If you don't set it to 'application controlled' then, yes, the control panel will override in game settings.
