How to get multiple AI jets to taxi?

Hi there,

 

I was wondering if anyone knew how to have multiple planes taxi for the runway. The effect can be seen in this video:

 

I created an air group that consisted of me and 2 other wingmen. When I start the mission, the AI don't appear until I after I take off and have cleared the runway. They then just 'appear' on the runway...how do I allow them to take off with me?

Yea man I think thats either a bug or the way ED designed the game. Either way they arent going to fix it and the AI arent very user friendly so you will have to get creative man. It is possible that the film maker that you referenced had a few friends online help him out but im not sure. I would like to know myself how he did it as I make movies too.

You are mistakeing in the configuration of the numers of pilots in your group. Look carefully and you will see in the group configuration tab (in the mission editor) that you can see 2 sections where you read "pilot 1 of X", you probable have set up "pilot 1 of 3", but that section it is not the correct one, the other one is, put 3 pilots there and you will take off together with a wingman and the third will follow you as soon as you have cleared some meters of the runaway.

By design, only AI in your Airgroup will appear when you do (to minimize ground movement conflicts). So, if you want to have more than just you and your wingnuts on the taxiways, you need to add more flights to your Airgroup:

 

 

 

Then just decide how many (1-4) pilots are in each flight. The only thing to remember is that all flights in your Airgroup will follow your waypoints just as your wingmen do.
