Oldfox
Hi! Just a little question about INS precision when you don't do a full alignement (say you set INS to "nav" when reaching the first 4 precision step). Is it just less precise, but you still can update position on route to get it perfect. Or, should you also get more drift while on route if less time aligning at first? Thanks! Azrayen
It's as precise at start. But you'll drift more. And you can always update (when it's not buggy)
RAZBAM_ELMO
Class 1 alignment will give you a 1nm/hr drift rate. Class 4 will give you a 2nm/hr drift rate. Oldfox
Ok thanks! So the higher the class the higher the drift respect to time. Pretty clear :) Any way to improve alignment later? I tried the other alignment mode in flight (from memory it's the one before the "nav" position) and it seemed to do something.... Not sure what :p Possible to realign on ground once RTB? Full INS reset necessary for this? Thanks :)
