HTC Vive game crash

So after a break from DCS due to work commitments I get 5 minutes into flying the UH-1 MEDEVAC mission. I'm flying fine and then the screen changes as if the game is still trying to load. Eventually the game crashes and am no longer flying. Anyone help me, as for hardware and in-game settings, how do I find them?

 

I'm at a loss as my son plays hours of War Thunder on VR without incident; me I get 5 minutes in playing DCS UH-1 and the game falls over, please help?

I want to help cause I know it's annoying when you make a post and nobody answers but I really don't know the answers and that's why you're getting no answers. I am on a Vive like yourself though. Are you using the new steam beta?

 

I have had a crash like you described with the new update but it's something that resolves itself if you wait and only happens very rarely not in game but when loading sometimes. Is this crash occurring whenever you start a game?

 

Make sure first you have done a clean delete and uninstall of all of your nividia graphics drivers. I was. Having awful time till I die that.

You might want to post your in game settings, machines specs etc..basic data needed for effective trouble shooting.

I have noticed the new steam update gave the beta some performance improvements but also problems, the grey flash that would have you pop in and out of game during performance drops is largely a non issue now but there are times when the game will just hang up, and go back to the steam loading screen for a much longer amount of time than it used to. I have opted out of the beta for now and the asynchronous reprojection still works fine but I am hoping to see stability improvements, only time will tell though...

I also notice that while I had shadows turned off, they are all back on again, some updates seem to reset certain settings. That said, with shadows on, no loss of frame rate from previous versions.
