jef32 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Hi The cargo camera of the Huey isn't displayed in oculus rift . Impossible to hook cargo anymore without this. Is it normal ? Scooternutz Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Once you get used to flying in VR you will be able to hold a hover better than you ever thought you could. :) [sIGPIC]https://drive.google.com/file/d/16rUBmmJR7A3YGZVGPGskxG1XtvulGojJ/view?usp=sharing[/sIGPIC]
Sofapiloz Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Agree! Just tried slingload the first time. Flying with Oculus since about three weeks with a lot of hover-practise. Just take the load in sight through your bottom-bubble, trim the lady proper on about 15-18 ft, then hover slowly forward till "hover over cargo" appears. Push the button, and up, up and away. Its all on your hover skills. Cargo cam is for Monitor-Pilots.
jef32 Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 Finally it's logical ! After all, in reality, Huey pilots don't have camera. Since VR is a big step to immersion, as you say, we don't need anymore artificial help necessary with a PC monitor. I'll try that after my shower !
