VR_Chalky Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Hi folks How do I set a password, when I wish to start a game in HL?:( I notice that all games in progress in HL are set as: Ping: Players max/min: Mission type: Difficulty: Password required: No The option to set a P/W is Grey, therefore I'm unable to select it when starting a game?:helpsmilie: The reason I wish to use a P/W, is simply that a few of my squad mates from IL-2 are keen to learn the fundamentals (we're all beginners) of 'Lock-On'.:joystick: Until we can at least get airborne :), anyway, then any of you chaps can join in , and shoot us all down in a couple of minutes flat.;) Cheers Chalky 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]"I ran out of altitude, airspeed and ideas all at the same time." S77th-ReOrdain Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Start game as usual throuh HL. Once server starts, the host must then stop the connection, put the password in while at the multiplayer screen and then start the connection again. Password should now be enabled. 1

Frostie Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Could have lag issues though. What password are you using? "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Lord Flashheart 51st PVO "Bisons" - 100 KIAP Regiment Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
S77th-ReOrdain Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Glad I could help. It's also a good idea to put a brief statement about the fact that the game is passworded while setting up in HL. You can use the game description portion of HL to enter that information. That way, people won't waste time trying to join, assuming that it is public. ;)
VR_Chalky Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Wilco  and thanks again. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]"I ran out of altitude, airspeed and ideas all at the same time."
