Bearfoot Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 So, even under non-VR 4K, I have found that I need to strain just a little to read the main compass. The numbers are all the small, in fine print, and, most importantly, all the same size (i.e., nothing to distinguish the cardinal directions N/S/E/W). Now, in VR, it really does add to the strain! I was thinking that if we could just have N/0, E/90, S/180, W/270, etc. marked up in bigger, bolder, different colored font or something, so that even at blurry glance without being zoomed we could make them out, then it would help a LOT! Yes, it's not like that IRL. But hey, we would not make it past basic quals if we had eyesight like that IRL! So maybe a mod for "old people/VR eyes" to help?
Robert31178 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 I'm on board with this, and also make the needle easier to differentiate between which way I need to head when using the nav wpt or ADF functions. Unless I zoom way in the needle is pretty ambiguous. Is it really this hard to use in real life? Edit* here's a pic of a Gazelle cockpit, and it's easy to see it? https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/a6/e8/f7/a6e8f712b42351ec7004aa5cb081e57f.jpg
hawka Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 This is what I do,I customize a snap to a close up view of the compass in the middle of the windows and also closeup views of the panels. I have these programed to a 4 way hat ,if you want to lock view's I do this on a 4 way hat program 1 button with Rcontr + 0 the other buttons with the view of your choice ..num 1...num 2... num 3. So you press Rcontr+0 you can swap between your views when you want to go back to default view just press Rcontr+ 0 Win 10,MB GA-X79S-UP5 cpu i7-3820 water cooled,GPU 1080ti ,psu corsair HX1200i,,ram Dominator 32GB trackir 5,VKB Gunfighter stick , throttle ,saitek x65f & CH pedals
