Spudknocker Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Hey guys! I am new here and just getting into DCS and I am trying to break into the multiplayer world after finishing a few campaigns... However After scouring YouTube and the forums here I can't find any tutorials or instructions on how to use teamspeak in conjunction with DCS multiplayer. Any help or links would be highly appreciated!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Spudknocker DCS World YouTube Channel!! RTX 2080 Ti - i7-7700K - 32GB RAM - DCS on 1TB EVO 970 M.2 SSD - Logitech X56 HOTAS
Emmy Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Subscribing... TS and Simple Radio are both a bit of a mystery to me as well. Specifically in the A-10C, where you have three radios, how, where and when do you just "chat" on one common channel and where and when do you apply proper radio tuning and use techniques? milit Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 TS is used separately from DCS. It doesn't mattes DSC on or off to communicate via TS. Simple radio is an unoficial but useful prog which allows to communicate via staff radios of aircraft (with freq settings and so on). An installation guide is in dedicated SRS thread. NeilWillis Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Using Teamspeak is very simple in multiplayer situations. Simply run Teamspeak, log in to your chosen multiplayer server - which will be detailed on a multiplayer website, and bookmark it for future reference. Then you just log in to the Teamspeak server, and join the server on DCS World and fly. Use a push to talk button for comms as a live mike will soon annoy everyone - especially if you have a dog, cat, baby, wife etc. Simple Radio - again, find out what SRS Server ip address you need, log in and join the DCS server. You will need the radios switched on and tuned to the correct frequencies for comms, and of course, Push to talk buttons mapped. The two systems can run together, as long as you have separate push to talk buttons mapped. Teamspeak will just be heard over all frequencies, so we use it as a backup before comms are established on SRS, and to talk after you have exited a cockpit.
