Mission Editor question - how to define units altitude

Recommended Posts

Im building training missions for p-51

When i use condition: UNITS ALTITUDE LOWER THAN lets say 3000 feet, does it mean that condition is true when UNIT is at alt ranging:

a) minus infinity to 3000 feet

or

b) minus infinity to 2999 feet

In other words Im asking if the number for the altitude in the condition is means UNITS ALTITUDE <= 3000 or just <3000 (without equal sign)

UNIT'S ALTITUDE LOWER THAN will be up to but not including the designated altitude if memory serves.

One thing to keep in mind is that the HIGHER THAN/LOWER THAN triggers as well as the speed triggers are hard coded in metric, even if the rest of your units are imperial.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks, I already learned it in a hard way:smilewink:

Also: Altitude is in meters

Whats with the speed: is it km/h or mph?

Please note that mission editor questions belong in the Mission Builders' Corner topic just above this one. This is to keep the clutter down in this topic which is reserved for missions and campaigns.

Sorry about that. Will do next time.

UNIT'S SPEED HIGHER THAN/LOWER THAN will be expressed in km/h ground speed.

Depending on how your options are set, your waypoints may be expressed in either km/h or kts, also ground speed.

Thanks for your kind assistance feefiforum. I did some mission designing regarding speed limits yesterday. actually now the input is in knots, and its being transferred to the other unit by the editor. I think it's the meters/second - like they wrote in the instruction manual. But I havent checked.
