Just looking if this Is the case in real life

I noticed that as you approach 1100 kmh TAS you hit the limit of Nose Down trim and you can't trim the airplane anymore in 1.5.6

Is it true in real life?

Cheers,

Lucky

I can verify that this now happens in stable release version 1.5.6.3930 and it didn't happen in the previous versions. I'm wondering if this is a new feature... or a bug? :dunno:

This has been a thing for a while, though the speed at which you run in to the trim limit increases as altitude increases. I'm guessing that the limit is proportional to air density and maximum hydraulic pressure, i.e. maximum hydraulic actuator force.

Thank you for the responses.

I treat it as a limitation that I take into account when I go to battle with the flanker

I love that plane

If you're carrying a war load then the trim authority limit is something that you're unlikely to run in to unless you're at low altitude (<1,000m) at maximum throttle. Even then, with a full compliment of missiles or some A-G ordnance you're maximum speed is likely to be under the point at which you run out of trim authority.

IRL below 5000m and above 1.1 mach, more than 80% forward stick is required to achieve a level flight, which can use up all your trim authority. As altitude increases, less forward stick is required to keep the plane straight and level.
