Hi all,

After a very long hiatus I have come back to DCS. I am currently running DCS World 2. I have these modules installed;

A-10 C

CA

Nevada

Spitfire

P 51 Trainer

Plus the freebie A/C

My question is this, where are the Training Missions now? When I click the "Training" option I see my 4 A/C listed but no descriptions. When I select an aircraft and click "Start" nothing happens :music_whistling:

Any ideas chaps :helpsmilie: I have gone into instant action, but the options there do not qualify as training, in my book.

Best regards

All of the training, single missions, and campaigns that come with modules take place in the Caucasus map (1.5 version). Instant action and single missions for FC3 are all that's available in NTTR for free. There are a few DLC campaigns available.

DCS v2 is an Alpha Test version. The training missions still exist in v1.5 but since v2 does not contain the Caucasus map the training missions cannot run in that version (they would have to be completely recreated to function in the Nevada map).

I think you will have the same problem in Normandy as it will be part of the 2.0 version and it will most probably not contain training mission from start.

Unfortunately until the "great" merge will happen this issue will be still present. From the information we have the earliest this could happen is the end of the year.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

On that basis it would seem better to use Open World 1.5 until Normandy is released. At least that way I can train in the Spit. :pilotfly:

I have to deactivate my modules DRM before uninstalling OW 2 and Nevada right?

Best regards.

PS why am I not getting email notification of thread replies? Any ideas mates, all seems correct in User CP

No need to deactivate modules when switching between versions, you could also have both versions installed at the same time.

The Gazelle has training missions in NTTR - but strangely, I did the start-up one last night and it is a shortened version of the one you get in the Caucasus

I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings

With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!
