SnowTiger Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I have rarely ever used the Create Fast Mission feature of DCS World (1.5) OB or any other version because it always seems to generic with way too many targets to decide what matters (or to ever be able to have Mission Success .. if there is such a thing in Fast Mission ?). Anyway, I tried it today in the Gazelle. I kept the parameters pretty simple and started on the tarmac at an airport. The problem is I had NO Hot3's nor any way to get them. The Ground Crew never responded to my requests ... and yes .. cockpit doors open, power on, radio on...etc etc .. not my first time !! So is this a Known Issue or a Gazelle Issue or what ? I did do a search but find the ED Forums very difficult to search for relevant information. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 18, 2017 ED Team Posted April 18, 2017 It is a known issue that some aircraft spawn without weapons when using create fast mission, I am sure it will get fixed but it is not high priority at the moment. What I tend to do is create the fast mission, then open it in the editor to make sure the loadouts and friendly airfields are set correctly. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? SnowTiger Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Okay thanks for that. I guess you have to first save the created fast mission to do that ? I'll figure that out quickly enough. No need to reply again regarding that. At least I know that's an option. The only remaining question I do have though is whether or not (after umpteen reloads ... IF that's even possible ..if I place farp vehicles at the start maybe ?) a mission can be completed ? Do you have to KILL EVERYTHING ? Do we get a message saying Mission Accomplished ? OR is this more of a practice shoot'em up sorta thing ? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 18, 2017 ED Team Posted April 18, 2017 create fast mission is pretty basic when it comes to goals, if you look at the triggers in the editor you will see that there are some messages for the user when he scores enough points in increments ( think it is every 10 points ) up to 100. But I do not think it is a mission complete or not scenario, you can do as much or as little as you wish. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? SnowTiger Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Excellent. I must really suck because I have NEVER seen any points awarded for all that I have killed (which isn't much !). Obviously, I have to revert to the EASY level instead of Medium or whatever it is. Anyway, this is all good to know. Thanks again for your replies and helpful information BIGNEWY.
