Gday Folks,

I just purchased the F5E and flew it in NTTR. What an awesome and fun aircraft to fly. Now I want to start learning how to use the radar and weapons but other AI aircraft shoot me down quite quickly.

Is there a simple mission available or can be made to just have a couple of "empty" aircraft flying around so I can practice using the avionics and weapon employment (AIM9s)? A couple of ground vehicles could also be added to practice A2G (hopefully they won't shoot back either ).

I am not very confident with using the mission creator at this stage so any advice would be welcome.

Thanks in advance

Dave

As far as I understand, you want to shoot enemy planes without any chance that they will kill you ?

Simply unload all weapons they are carrying. But I believe the default loadout is EMPTY whenever you "put" a plane on the map in ME.

What goes up, must come down !

@ ex81 : Yes that's exactly what I'm after, just dumb empty planes flying around so I can practice using the radar etc to intercept and shoot with AIM 9 till I can do it well enough to go up against normal foes. I did work out how to place an empty aircraft on a new mission last night. Just refining it over the next few days.

@feefifofum : excellent, thanks for that. I'll give it a whirl over the next week. It's a fair learning curve to go back to the rudimentary avionics after being pampered with TGPs and SADLs etc.

Thanks Guys for the advice.

Cheers

Dave
