For some reason, it only happens on the right. I've have thought that it may have something to do with wing flex and compressibility. Either way, it's something to look into. Yeah, it looks like the wing flex makes apparent the fact that some vertices on the mesh haven't been properly welded, exposing back faces inside the wing (which aren't rendered and therefore appear transparent).
