escaner Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 In order for landing/taxi lights to shine, I need to put NAV lights to on. When I switch NAV to off, landing/taxi lights also disappear. Noticed it yesterday on the ground in latest 1.5 beta. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Weegie Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 (edited) Funnily enough I've been trying to make a profile for the F-5 & the lighting was driving me nuts. Externally it seems a little messed up. I eventually found as you did that the Nav lights need to be turned on, turn them off and you loose Taxi/Landing lights. You can still turn Taxi/Landing lights on and off once the Nav lights are enabled Wish you had posted a couple of days ago for this drove me crazy for quite a while Edited April 26, 2017 by Weegie grammer
mx22 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 This is how it works in 1.5 stable and 2.0 - I always assumed that this is how it was done in F-5...
escaner Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 I went through both Belsimtek and -1 manuals and neither one describes this weird behaviour, therefore I assume it is a bug. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
dolfo Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 From the -1: Landing-Taxi Lights Two white landing-taxi lights, one on under- side of each engine inlet duct, are electrically controlled, two position, retractable high and low intensity lights. The two positions are full extension for landing and intermediate for taxiing. The lights extend and retract only when the position lights are on. The lights are turned on-off by the LDG & TAXI LIGHT switch.
escaner Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 I am reading it again and yeah, I understand now. Somehow when it said "position lights" I was thinking on "position of the lights switch", I was expecting to talk about NAV lights or NAV light switch. So no bug, sorry. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
