Black screen on loading a campaign or ending a mission

When playing BS2, on a campaign sometimes it will load up ok, fly etc. i hit escape and hit exit, black screen, i have to load task manager to end the program. i have tried reinstalling. i have tried rebooting.

 

its a brand new HP demon laptop can easily handle it, its only recently started playing up.

You mean it crashes on exit? Or just when you hit esc to bring up the options?

It crashes when I hit escape. It sometimes crashes when I try and load up the mission. It's very random

CPU i5 7300HQ @2.50

If you can attach your logs

 

I am guessing it is the gtx 1050 gpu?

 

It could be a display driver issue, or a heat problem

 

but we would need to see the logs to get a better idea.

 

also running a cleanup and repair my also help, guide in my signature

I have cleaned the registry. I use a cooling pad under the laptop. Updated the drivers. It's so random one minute it's loading up and playing but black screen after I hit exit or its a black screen to load up.

Forgive me if don't know about logs. I'm a neanderthal when it comes to this. I can only exit by task manager end task

I took drastic measures. Reset windows and it looks like it's working now. But I appreciate your earlier help. Best wishes. Simon
