Mr.Fenestron Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Just as the title indicates, are there any current or somewhat recently seperated army helicopter pilots flying in this game? (UH-1 module). I am a previous AirForce loadmaster, now planing to go Army WOFT soon and I was hoping for some ingame flying tips/instruction :).

ESA Dodo Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I was at Ft. Rucker back in 1988. It seems to me that is not recently  Good luck!
BaD CrC Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Yes, we do have current military (and civilians) helicopter pilots but not necessarily dedicated to the Huey. There are not a lot of places in the US where you can fly DCS helicopters in MP by the way. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
ESA Dodo Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 (edited) Just as the title indicates, are there any current or somewhat recently seperated army helicopter pilots flying in this game? (UH-1 module). I am a previous AirForce loadmaster, now planing to go Army WOFT soon and I was hoping for some ingame flying tips/instruction :). By the way, is the Huey still used at Ft. Rucker for flight instruction? If that is the case, maybe you may want to know in advance how to start it. I have a long video published in Youtube with detailed and close to the real procedures (sorry only subtitles for English). And the flight manual is easily available in the web. If you have any question or need a MP session it will be a pleasure to try and help you. Edited May 15, 2017 by McFlurry
Mr.Fenestron Posted May 15, 2017 Author Posted May 15, 2017 I am not looking for huey pilots, just US army pilots. The helicopter used for flight instruction is the TH-67 Creek (bell 206 Jet Ranger). I'm just looking for non aircraft specific instruction. As they say, there is the right way, the wrong way, and the army way.
Robert31178 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Wolf, head over the the 229th. They have some real Army pilots, a few that have Huey time, and I was told that one of their members was a Huey combat pilot in Vietnam (never met him, so **disclaimer!!) http://1stcavdiv.conceptbb.com/ If I was gonna get a leg up in the Huey or UA Army flying I'd go check them out. Solid bunch. ~S
Mr.Fenestron Posted May 18, 2017 Author Posted May 18, 2017 Just to publicly declare; thank you Rob, I really appreciate the head's-up. I'll see you over there soon.
