hi.

i would like to get back on the A10C in preparation for the F18C.

i have the oculus rift, and thrustmaster warthog, saitek combat pedals, thrustmaster mds's and a button stack with a few switches and rotaries.

for the past year of playing on VR in DCS, i only flew the A-10A and Su25T because of the simplified controls.

i like to know how those who get around in an A-10C and in VR.

i hear that people use the mouse to use buttons and stuff in the virtual cockpit.

i might have to just build a generic "Up Front Controller" for use in the A-10C and F-18C, my past A-10C experience reminds me that the UFC was essential to work data entry into the A10C systems...

but i would like to know whats the best way to deal with mouse input in VR. the analog stick of the warthog throttle is already used to slew the MFCD cursor..?

any suggestions, apprieciated.

i look forward to the F14, Harrier and F18

You can use it the same way as without oculus, just keep it in an easy to reach place.

Or map left/right mouse click to some HOTAS buttons in the UI layer settings, and use your head to point at things.

Or use a trackball.

BTW, I still use MFD's and keyboard in Oculus, needs a bit of practice but it's doable.

I'm not sure if I'm adding anything to the conversation but I find that the default settings for the TMWH with a mouse works quite well in VR. As you know, the A10c doesn't love a lot of stick anyway (gigedy) so using the mouse isn't much of a juggling act in most situations.

I also use the mouse just like I would without VR. The only difference is that the labels are harder to read.

Yes, in the VR tab uncheck "use mouse".
