DCS 2.1.0.5677.215

(I'm not sure whether this should be here, or in the alpha section)

I see no map on the TAD with the latest update, not sure it's a known issue - I knew it was expected for Normandy, but not for NTTR. I suppose that since the map has changed somewhat, it has to be regenerated.

The display is also hard to read, especially the HUD, but it's surely WIP.

It is important to read the changelog. The one I read said the HUD was a known issue being hard to see. I didn't notice that problem yesterday but I was flying with deferred shading off. I turned it back on and HDR off to remove blue shadows. Which works. I'll be flying soon to test it.

I had the map with deferred shading off. With it on it is blacked out. Right now deferred shading makes the hud impossible to read and blacks out the map. If you turn it off your shadows become blue and washed out regardless of HDR setting.

Since many people have reported and I can replicate the issue over and over. It is a problem. Even if one person can see it and another can't.

Here is the blue shadow problem with deferred shading off. Looks like someone took a watercolor paint brush and painted it.

Not sure whether this was a patronizing comment but it certainly looks a little bit like it ;) Not that I care much though.

Yes, the known issue was about the HUD on the sky background, which has always been hard to read (usually I switch to night mode which is more readable, even in day time).

In this case, however, the poor visibility of the HUD (in all conditions) and MFCDs are due to saturation and over-brightness, even if I switch the MFCDs to night mode. The labels are also harder to read, blurry or poorly contrasted.

With deferred shading off, it's better, indeed, but yes... blue shadows.

And the map shows with deferred shading off here too, good to know! :)

When I have maverick display on the right, the map shows up as well, on the left that is. If I change the right display to something else, the map turns off again.

Defered shading is ON.
