352ndDeacon
In looking over the naming of the various towns along the Normandy coast, I've discovered what I think is an error. On the DCS map, Port-en-Bessin is mislabeled Les Moulins. Les Moulins is actually between Vierville and St. Laurent-Sur-Mer and is part of the Omaha Beach area. It is where the D-3 Draw is located. It did not have a harbor associated with it as depicted on the DCS map. Port-en-Bessin (mislabeled Les Moulins)and its associated harbor is part of the Gold Beach area. gabuzomeu
Porte-en-Bessin And this is too bad as Port en Bessin harbor at night with the birds flapping wings is fantastic! rel4y
If its supposed to be Martragny, then it is in the wrong place. It was west of Martragny and Rucqeville not east. http://normandy.whitebeamimages.ie/forum/showthread.php?tid=372 Edited May 31, 2017 by rel4y Cougar, CH and Saitek PnP hall sensor kits + shift registers: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=220916 Shapeways store for DIY flight simming equipment and repair: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/rel4y-diy-joystick-flight-simming
Night Owl
Re: Rucqueville I believe it means to represent B-7 with official name Matragny, named Rucqueville in some sources. But it is actually at the wrong position in the map, the one in the map is somewhat in-between real B-7 Matragny and B-6 Coulombs
