As a counterpart to my German Wingmen Speech Mod, I decided to complete the package with the Player as well.

Because of the size, they are separate Mods, so you can use them separately or together.

Both Mods are JSGME ready.

Both speech packs are intended for use in Normandy. If you decide to switch sides, there is also my British Player and Wingman speech pack!:smilewink:

This now means you can give orders to your Wingmen in their native language. You can also talk to ATC and your ground crew in German.

Here is a demo video.

The Mod is available to download from DCS User Files, just search for "herky", or from the link.

Best regards

Thanks for your work on this.

I appreciate these to improve immersion and understand the work involved.

Best wishes

"Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."

Many thanks.

I started with a British Mod, just for my own use really, then updated it with a wingman based on Rick Mayall's Lord Flashart in Blackadder.....guys in the US are saying "who...what"? With a few lines from the movie Battle of Britain.

So then I decided to implement the German crews, I hope it does help when flying the superb 109 and 190's.

Normandy has such great potential!:D

Best regards

Nice idea and surely a lot of work,

and please I don`t want to be misunderstood, but as a native german speaker some phrases sound not very much german.

Pronunciation has a high foreign akzent.

If you would like to get some help to make this sound more natural german, just send PM.

Yes, I realise this. My wife speaks German and has been chastising me constantly!:smilewink:

So long as you can understand the DCS radio calls in German, I have achieved my aim, which was to provide a greater level of immersion in the game. Like I said, this project began with my British Speech mod, mainly just for my own use, since I didn't think the American modern phraseology fitted with a WW2 scenario in Normandy!

Anyone can do these mods. All you need is Audacity sound program, which is freeware and time/patience to record about 300 phrases.

Best regards.

Tally Ho, good hunting. gute Jagd!
