Horns Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 When I first opened DCS World after getting my Thrustmaster Warthog hotas, I loved that the A-10C controls were set up correctly straight out of the box. For some reason I tried to make my own additions to the initial defaults, but that turned out to be a bad idea, so I reverted to default. Problem is, the "default" it reverted to isn't the same as the original control scheme when I first plugged the hotas in. I've tried deleting all the control configurations but that didn't do the trick either, and I'm out of ideas. Can anyone tell me how to get back to the actual original settings? Or am I just crazy and not recognizing the "new" default settings as being the same? I'm using the Steam version of DCS World (1.5.6). I apologize if this question has been asked and answered in a different thread, I did search and look at a lot but the results were irrelevant, I could well have missed something though. cichlidfan Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 (edited) Try what cichlidfan recommended in a similar thread few years ago: "You could delete all the game mode setups by deleting the entire folder or you could reset the entire sim by deleting C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input" Actually, the post that I made six years ago predates DCS World so the path has changed a tiny bit. C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10C is the folder where all of your controls setups, for Sim mode, are located. If it is Game mode that you are using then the folder is C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10C_easy Deleting the joystick folder under that will reset your Warthog stick and throttle, as well as rudder pedals and anything else that DCS sees as a joystick, to the original default settings. Inside that folder is a file for each controller, so it is possible to delete just the Thrustmaster files and leave the others alone. Horns Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 Thank you both for your replies. In the end I had to delete and redownload the A-10C sim, but now it's working as it should. Not sure why or how it was so stubborn, but as well as double bound axes some two position switch controls (eg APU Start) were set up as toggles, and would not bind moving from "on" to "off" and other such things. Thanks again for the replies, I'm impressed with how helpful and engaged this community is. Hopefully I'll learn to fly something soon so I can be a more active participant in the future.
