Stone Shield Mission 2

Good day, i am on the ramp starting my A-10 and regardless of how fast i start up my aircraft, my wingman is already taking off and motars are walking in and i get destroyed. My aircraft is cold and dark startup so cant start and taxi. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure what mission you're playing but if it is a default ED mission a lot of them broke. You can find fixed ones on the user files section.

Im flying the one i bought on the ED site like all my aircraft and campaigns. Where would i find these files? Thank you.

Chelseaman, there is a seperate thread for DLC Campaigns and one for Stone Shield. You're probably better posting there.

 

I haven't played this campaign myself but I read about it and as I recall you need to make a scramble start-up. Get power on, engines running then move. Other systems can be powered up while moving and the nav system does an air-initialise. Slower but it gets your nav and targeting systems working once your safely off the ground.

 

I may be mixing it up but your problem sounds like what I read when the campaign first came out.

Hey there, yep what John and Zarma said is what you got to do brother. Don't try and align any NAV systems, EGI, CDU, CMS, DSMS nothin, just get up there as fast as you can, power those engines and go baby! I remember weaving along the runway praying I didn't get taken out and yep I got it good a few times but eventually I realized just to do the quickest and barest Ramp Start one can manage and start rolling as fast as you can. After a few trys you'll soon be near touching your wingmans tail in front of you as your taxing out. Don't worry, give it a few goes and you'll eventually get it. Remember just bare essentials to get you in the air, there's not much more to the mission after that as I recall you get to land at an alternate not long after.
