Luft08 Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 This will be my first VR experience and I'm wondering how to setup the Vive for DCS play. I know that it comes with a Steam loaded driver but I run DCS stand alone products and was wondering if there is a non-Steam driver for DCS. I tried a friends Vive and found that steam menus would pop up and not be visible in the VR headset. It made it really difficult to play. Thanks
dburne Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 All you should need is Steam VR. I run DCS stand alone with a Rift, and with Steam VR installed I can launch BoS and Steam VR starts up with it and voila I am in VR. I would think it would be the same with the Vive as well, but I am sure some Vive users can clarify that better for you. mrwell Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Affirm, with the Vive, I just start DCS world, choose my plane and go for the mission. It directly starts in VR. If I have not Steam VR started, it will at once. Only issue I have was recentening till I knew about Num5 and mouse Center button. Don't fly unaligned! Mayor dizziness could occur... Cheers
