DCS 1.5.7 live - F-15C Cockpit scratches gone?

DCS 1.5.7 no cockpit scratches in F-15C

Also cockpit lights are buggy with textures.

 

Can anyone confirm?

O.K so i have managed to fix the bad cockpit textures, was a mod.

So i went on and disabled every mod i had, but i still have issues.

 

1. trees are flickering like mad from high altitude, looks like something with lod, either you are to close to see them or to far, there's a like a thin line between visible or not and thus they flicker.

 

2. Scratches has been removed like in dcs 2.0 - what a shame.

 

what each update i need to spent hours to to be able to get what i had perfectly fine before.

Not really thinking much of tree shadows popping in to view....followed a while later by the actual trees lol. Wish you could disable trees entirely like with grass - they add nothing to the sim looking the way they do currently.

i am absolutely ONE HUNDRED PERCENT *FINE* with no cockpit textures - was very distracting and annoying - good riddance - never come back!!

Maybe so, but it does add to the immersion aspect, also it's def more realistic, no?

absolutely not

 

real world you look right past it and you don't "actively perceive" it 100% of the time - in the sim, the "scratches" are actively inhibiting comprehending what you're seeing in a way that is exponentially worse than in the real world

 

it was a good idea, good to try, to see if it adds or detracts - it definitely detracts

 

i'm happy to see it gone
