Group numbers 2, 3 and escort turning back, rather than landing.

Hey all,

I have 3x3 B-17's escorted by 4 Mustang's. The 17's are in a box formation, which is set to last waypoint 1. After this they should land at 2 different airfields.

The lead 17's do what they're told, but the others and the escort turn back to the starting point (waypoint 0), then fly back to waypoint 1 and proceed with landing.

I'm not sure if it's something I'm missing, or a bug.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mission has been attached.

Br,

Unfortunately I have nothing to offer. This is very similar to what you see, when you have more than 1 unit set to follow a leader and an instruction to land. I haven't found, nor have I seen, a solution in that case.

What happens in yours is slightly different in that the extra units aren't waiting until the lead unit parks and shuts down to go back to the first WP. Instead, they head there straight away. But the result is the same.

Hey Ironhand,

Thanks for the reply. You had something to offer at least: confirmation that it's not something I'm doing wrong :)

I hope it'll get sorted soon. Patience is a virtue!

Thanks!

:) Small consolation. I've played around with the issue a bit over the last week or so looking for a viable work-around but, so far, nothing has worked. If it's something we're doing wrong, we're not the only ones. There was another thread here a week or so ago concerning 4 individual aircraft following one another with similar results when it came to landing.
