Recon Mod

[FS Voodoo]

Hello everyone.

 

I had an idea but i don't know if it's possible to do that in DCS and I did some research but i didn't find something about it.

 

As you can read in the title it's about recon.

 

I would like to know if it's possible to create a mod to do some realistic reco. I mean something like: you flight with a specific pod and when you active it, it take some photos (maybe screenshot ?) with a specific angle of your plane. Then, when you have land, you can found your pictures in a specific folder and analyze it to do a strike later.

 

I think it will be wonderful to do something like that in MP server like Blueflag to collect some Intel on a specific target before strike.

 

I think the plane like the Viggen or the Mig 21 will be perfect for this job.

 

 

 

 

Last thing, unfortunately, I have the idea but don't have the skill and the knowledge's in programming to realize that.

The viggen already features something similar, it's called ELINT.

You can't take pictures but you can go SAM-Hunting with it.

It records radar emmisions and other properties of the radar wave to triangulate and identify the source, very crude explanation.

Thank you for your answer but, I know for the ELINT pod of the Viggen (this is my favorite module :)) and maybe I wasn't enough clear in my first post but I wanted to talk about photographic Recon, if we can add this .

But since I can't help you with that and the ELINT functions somewhat similar to a recon pod, I thought I just mention it in case you didn't know about it, like I did for quite some time. :)

Thank you, this mod is very cool and the idea is good.

 

The perfec recon mod should be a mix between this mod and the ELINT pod. When you pass the active pod, it takes some pictures and you have them when you have landed whit the position and the descript of the target =)
