I would like to suggest some improvements in the F10 map view, probably, the ED already have these in plans.

  • Add an option to show the flight plan when select an aerial unit.
  • Add an option to change to units shown: metric or imperial.
  • Fix the coordinates to show the longitude, is showing only the latitude for me.
  • Show the MGRS and the bullseye coordinate of any unit (ground, sea or air) of the current commander side.
  • Fix the repeated player name when enabled the label option, could be shown the callsign instead.
  • In this label, could add the altitude, speed, bearing, coordinate (latitude/longitude, MGRS and bullseye) instead of the board in the bottom left corner.
  • Add, if possible, some drawing tools like ARMA3 for briefing.

Best regards.

Personally I'd like to have the detection ranges and unit names off by default - with sub missions the F10 map looks too cluttered and it's the same amount of effort to turn them back on and turn them back off.

...and ED, please add black "outline" on the texts.

The background is not always green and blue.

Thanks. :)

Why not add more of the LotATC features, I am sure they'd be happy to co-operate. Precision approach radar, radio panel, AWACS style continually updating radar pictures available only when in range of a radar site, the possibilities are endless. Turning the map into a complete tactical picture, available in only certain roles would be great.

Fog of war on steroids.

I agree, a button to quickly swap from SI units to imperial L/L to MGRS et al would be a huge aid too.

The more powerful the F10 map the better - but also with complete control over the availability of tactical data provided to mission planners would add a complete extra layer.

I think that it is not in the plans: F10 is a deadly simple magic view that may be useful in some cases, like training, or some public servers, and Game Masters with CA, but I am not sure that making it more complex is the right way to go, IMHO. Though, I approve definitely another 'F-13' view dedicated to ATC/CGI directly in the soft as LotATC does.

I know the LotAtc, but it's an external tool that could be embedded to the game. The price in brazilian currency it's something like US$ 80.

The DCS SRS is an other good external tool thats could be embed.

I expect the DCS have these features in plans. They already spending time and money developing the next generation of combat flight simulator, these features will be nice to have in hands.
