I'm aware of triggers etc and can make units explode and things when trigger zones are triggered, but can't get signal flares to fire from ground units. First, create a trigger zone somewhere off, out of the way, of the approximate radius at which you'd like your ground units to pop signal flares. We'll call it "flare zone" for the purposes of the rest of our trigger example. We'll call your ground unit "ground unit" and your unit which triggers the flares "player." Now, go to the trigger menu. TYPE- 1 ONCE (Flares, NO EVENT) CONDITIONS- UNIT INSIDE MOVING ZONE (player, flare zone, ground unit) TRIGGERED ACTIONS- SIGNAL FLARE ON UNIT (ground unit, GREEN, 0) FLAG ON (1) Now, if you want your unit to fire a second or third flare after a time, just create an additional trigger- TYPE- 1 ONCE (Flares 2, NO EVENT) CONDITIONS- TIME SINCE FLAG (1, 2) TRIGGERED ACTIONS- SIGNAL FLARE ON UNIT (ground unit, GREEN, 0) The simplest way is to create as many additional triggers as you would like for them to fire flares, with longer time spacing. You could also make the second trigger a switched condition, increment flag one each iteration, and include a stop condition after a certain value has been reached for flag one. I.E. TYPE- 2 SWITCHED CONDITION (Additional flares, NO EVENT) CONDITIONS- TIME SINCE FLAG (1, 2) FLAG IS LESS (1,5) TRIGGERED ACTIONS- SIGNAL FLARE ON UNIT (ground unit, GREEN, 0) FLAG INCREASE (1, 1) This should have your ground unit fire three additional flares after the first one, 2 seconds apart, until 4 total flares have been fired.
