i thought i did pretty well for a first time formation flight . even if i did have an engine out

you rejoin only by speed difference

 

you stay too rear to rejoin by the maneuvre ;)

 

put the leader plane on two or Ten oclock on your canopy

and

go as quickly as possible into internal turn ...
