VR Newb Question

Just picked up the Oculus Rift and after setup I tried running DCS, but the headset doesn't display the game. Is there any software or anything I need to run in parallel to DCS? I've searched the the forums but cant find much about the setup process. Thanks for your help.

Yes: the Oculus software needs to be running, but that auto-starts as soon as you put on the headset, since there is a sensor at forehead level that picks up when the headset is in use :-)

I think you also need to switch on "Allow Unknown Sources" in Oculus Home > Settings > General.

Actually it can be run without the Oculus Home software running. You can see this by setting Oculus Home exe file to " Run as Administrator", then it won't automatically launch when putting headset on. You can then launch DCS without Oculus Home running, and it will still launch in VR ( long as VR is checked in DCS settings menu).
