Unguided Bombs mission: Where do I taxi to?

Recommended Posts

This mission starts at the runway, I've landed but the mission isn't completing, so I guess it wants me to taxi somewhere. How do I find out where I need to taxi to, and how could I find that information for myself in future missions?

Thanks

Which mission is this exactly? Most mission requirements, if pass/fail are to either destroy "x" number of units or something similar and, perhaps, land successfully. I've never run into a requirement to taxi to a specific location.

Damn, sorry, meant to post in the Su-25T thread. I think the mission is actually called "Unguided Bombs". Once I've landed after completing the objectives, should the mission end itself, or do I just hit 'escape' once I'm satisfied I'm done?

You need to hit escape. That's true of any mission. They don't auto end.

Thanks, For some reason I figured they would end once all objectives were complete, no idea where I got that from. So at the end of each mission the player decides for themself if they've completed the objectives in standalone missions and campaigns?

This sort of varies by mission author.

It's possible to have a very clear mission briefing, an in mission message (voiceover even if you get fancy) triggered by completion of mission objectives (can even be multi stage objectives ), and at the scoreboard to list a mission success/fail message, and in a campaign have different follow-up missions based on success or failure.

The mission author can also choose not to have any mission objectives.

If you learn to use the mission editor, you can alter the mission objectives, at least in missions that don't have copy protections.

"It depends," isn't the most satisfying answer, but that's the way it is.

Callsign "Auger". It could mean to predict the future or a tool for boring large holes.

I combine the two by predictably boring large holes in the ground with my plane.

Thanks for taking the trouble to explain that. I've been doing the training for some time, so I guess I figured it would say "you can end the mission now" if I'd completed everything, and the absence of that would indicate I'd missed a step at some point. Now I know to expect differing structures, much appreciated.

I have some updated missions from the default game, at the address below, campaigns and single missions all have voice overs and mission complete reported when you complete the objectives.
