Request [Tutorial] for beginners/advanced: Making AI airplanes/helicopters flyable

Hello to all. When looking the forum, I find some great work. New planes, scenery, structures, etc. Some of them are really good and make the game, more enjoyable!

Some people are very talented and have the time; most of us, don’t have the ‘knowhow’ and/or the needed time to ‘search/study’ deeply, the hundreds of threads in the DCS forum.

 

What I never find, is ‘simple’ tutorials to explain how to do it…

 

 

What about someone take the time and make, some ‘sticky’ tutorials for beginners…

 

 

As an example:

 

Let’s make the (AI) F-4E flyable:

• I copy the ‘Su-25T’ (free) folder to Users/’Me’/Saved Games/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  
• I copy the ‘F-15C’ (paid) folder to Users/’Me’/Saved Games/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  
• I start from scratch; I simply make a folder called ‘F-4E’ on Users/’Me’/Saved Games/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  

*Let’s make the (AI) AH-64A flyable?

• I copy the ‘Ka-50’ (paid) folder to Users/’Me’/SavedGames/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  
• I copy the ‘Mi-8MTV2’ (paid) folder to Users/’Me’/Saved Games/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  
• I start from scratch; I simply make a folder called ‘AH-64A’ on Users/’Me’/Saved Games/ DCS/Mods/aircraft
  

Then what?

 

Simple way:

• How do I make it flyable?
  
• How do I add a cockpit (Su-25T/Su-27/F-15C)?
  
• How do I assign the ‘input’ to this model?
  
• How do I add a ‘hook’ to land on the carrier?
  

*How do I assign a cockpit (Ka-50/ Mi-8MTV2/Uh-1H)?

*How do I assign the ‘input’ to this model?

*How do I add working ‘weapons’ to this model?

Advanced way:

• How do I make it flyable ‘with my own’ FM?
  
• How do I add ‘my own’ cockpit?
  
• How do I ‘change/add’ characteristics to it?
  
• How do I add my own weapons’ to this model?
