How to install 1.5 after 2.0

Hi Guys,

 

 

I have DCS v 2.XX (latest) installed with a couple of modules like MI-8, Uh-1, etc. For the Caucasus scenery I would like to install 1.5 version, but if I click on the "download" icon of 1.5, I only get a 2.XXX updater. It says that installation is impossible because I have a valid version on my computer.

Any tips, solution?

Reading through the posts, i have recognized that many simmers have both versions installed on their computer. Somehow they did it!

By the way what do you mean "if I using steam"?

Please, be aware that I am "only" a stupid user not a computer specialist both in the sim and real world aviation! :-)

I have them both installed, but I always installed 1.5 first. That might make the difference.

Ok guys, I think BuzzU has the lead. My 2.0 install t for the new Caucasus.

I will, by no means uninstall my V2. Too many work, devoted time and payware installed on my computer.

They are to different software so the answer is YES. You can even have multiple version of 1.5.7 installed (beta and release).

Order shouldn't matter. Follow this guide: GUIDE: Using DCS Updater to Update, Revert, Repair, or Install Modules

 

Scroll down in the first post to the section: Creating Multiple Installs w/ Separate Settings Folders from One Source Install, using dcs_variant.txt

 

I have about 5 different installs now, though I only actively use 2. I suppose I should just get rid of the rest.

I'm a bit affraid, because as mentioned before I'm only a stupid user who expected to click on the 1.5 install exe, and that's it.
