Oculus users who running DCS steam versions or DCS E-shop versions

I like to know Oculus Rift owner's experience with running DCS?

 

do you open oculus home and open steam VR?

are you flying with DCS from steam purchase/downloads or from the DCS E-shop purchases?

 

do you guys think theres better performance when flying steamVR only, or thru oculus home? or do you have both steamVR and Oculus home open?

also, that compared to Steam DCS downloads to E-shop downloads...

 

i think i read something about how steam authentication is less resource than starforce... :/

 

would like to hear your thoughts..

do you bump up only pixel density through the game?

or do you do it on SteamVR /oculus tray tool.. etc.

hannibal, I don't use Steam for DCS. Oculus starts up when Windows boots (default) and when I fire up DCS, it automatically fires up Oculus home in the background. As of now, launching DCS from Oculus home doesn't work.

 

I increase PD via DCS built-in menu. Other than PD, I haven't messed with changing anything else.

im trying to setup my pit with the thrustmaster mfd and i just ordered a trackball, i hope to fly soon.

 

the time i been playing DCS with VR, i been running both steamVR and oculus home running in the background, i just learned now to set steamVR to: NOT to launch steamVR when opening up a VR application.

i also changed the short cut of the oculus.exe to have admin rights so, that also doesnt start when i start any VR games, so i have control on what actually starts up.
