Hi everyone,

I am new to the Oculus style of flying and have a few questions which I am hoping you good folk will be able to help me with.

To set the scene I am running DCS 1.5 and using Oculus Rift CV1.

1. I have viewed numerous videos and web pages about settings for my Oculus within DCS. The one I am unsure about is the actual resolution. At the moment the resolution is set to the same as my monitor (1920 x 1200). Is this the correct setting for the Rift? I did see someone had posted their resolution as being 3840 x 2160 with an aspect ration of 1.7777. I don't have this option. So am I doing it right with 1920 x 1200?

2. Push the buttons. Once I am within an aircraft (Black Shark or Huey) I am having real problems using the mouse to push or change switches / dials. I can make the cursor come alive or go away via the middle mouse button but when I try and press a button etc the button routinely doesn't function and then the mouse goes away and the aircraft's controls seem to lock. Am I doing something wrong or is this a by product of using VR?

Hope some clever folk out there will know the answers.

Many thanks

1: You are doing it correctly, set your monitor to it's native resolution.

2: Insure you are in true full screen ( have to press alt-enter once in DCS).

And there is a dedicated VR subforum under the INPUT OUTPUT forum. Just an FYI

Resolution only effects pass through, i.e what your monitor is showing. Just set it to the monitors native resolution. It has no effect on the Rift or performance.
