Oceandar Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I also notice in these last few weeks less people play MP in Caucasus and NTTR (cant speak for Normandy, I dont have it). I'm not sure the reason but probably related to many issues in MP (lag, warping, crash etc). Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
fitness88 Posted November 5, 2017 Author Posted November 5, 2017 Black Sea on a busy day can have over 200 pilots logged into MP. I'm thinking of getting the European theatre but heard a lot of negatives about performance. It seems too small for jets, so am wondering what's the make up of the pilots/planes? I've wondered if there are other servers besides DCS that pilots go to fly multi-player? I also believe you can connect via direct IP address.

On Normandy - if you prefer to fly post WWII aircraft there are only few servers and not every time online: 78th freeflight and training (switches with Nevada every couple of hours), Aerobatics online (many have issues to connect to on Normandy - and so do I:furious:) and sometimes a third one which I do not remember. Too few MP Players online there to have fun - at least if you live in Europe. The rest is WWII servers (about 8 or so - some of the pw-protected) I can not comment on because I do not own props. My personal recommendation: if you are not a WWII guy wait for Strait of Hormuz to spend your money though Normandy is eye candy. I wish´d there where more servers with helicopter OPS as Normandy is a totally different party with all that trees, alleys, bushes and requires a more tactical approach to helo flying than actual Caucasus. About performance: if your system is approx like mine...no issues (if you dont max out every slider) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]my rig specs: i7-4790K CPU 4.50GHz, 32GB RAM, 64bit WIN10, NVidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti, SSD+ A10C, UH-1H, M2C, F5E, Gazelle, KA 50, F18C, DCS 2.5x OB
