Scott28 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I just downloaded and finaly figured out the correct way to install the Crimean air wars patch. (which , after only 2-3 minuits of play, discovered i really liked.) however, when i go to use Track IR, I must push the 5 key on the # pad to center it, (not the F12 key!) what kore, it now I can only tilt my head up and down, not left and right and zoom is reversed. Any advise? i have already tried deleating the Track IR file in the config folder. Thanks
Kuky Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 make sure you check your game profile file and the way its setup. By the way, in case you don't know this, you can asign any button you want to centre, enable/disable TrackiR. I think by default F1 and F12 are used for TrackIR Hotkeys, but LockOn uses these also, so there's a "conflict" ;) I use NUM Keypad button /, * and - for the 3 hotkeys as I never used those to type in game :D But I have the TrackIR Centre key programmed into HOTAS anyway. This is my lockOn profile: <Profile> <Name>Lock-On</Name> <Notes></Notes> <Smoothing>60</Smoothing> <MotionType>1</MotionType> <Override>0</Override> <Axis Type="0" Enabled="1" Inverted="0" CurveType="5"> <CurveData p0="65" p1="42" p2="26" p3="15" p4="8" p5="6" p6="5" p7="5" p8="5" p9="6" p10="8" p11="15" p12="26" p13="42" p14="65"></CurveData> </Axis> <Axis Type="1" Enabled="1" Inverted="0" CurveType="5"> <CurveData p0="69" p1="46" p2="30" p3="19" p4="12" p5="10" p6="9" p7="9" p8="9" p9="10" p10="12" p11="19" p12="30" p13="46" p14="69"></CurveData> </Axis> <Axis Type="2" Enabled="0" Inverted="0" CurveType="1"> <CurveData p0="18" p1="18" p2="18" p3="15" p4="11" p5="8" p6="4" p7="1" p8="4" p9="8" p10="11" p11="15" p12="18" p13="18" p14="18"></CurveData> </Axis> <Axis Type="3" Enabled="0" Inverted="0" CurveType="1"> <CurveData p0="18" p1="18" p2="18" p3="15" p4="11" p5="8" p6="4" p7="1" p8="4" p9="8" p10="11" p11="15" p12="18" p13="18" p14="18"></CurveData> </Axis> <Axis Type="4" Enabled="0" Inverted="0" CurveType="1"> <CurveData p0="18" p1="18" p2="18" p3="15" p4="11" p5="8" p6="4" p7="1" p8="4" p9="8" p10="11" p11="15" p12="18" p13="18" p14="18"></CurveData> </Axis> <Axis Type="5" Enabled="1" Inverted="0" CurveType="5"> <CurveData p0="27" p1="27" p2="27" p3="24" p4="20" p5="17" p6="13" p7="10" p8="13" p9="17" p10="20" p11="24" p12="27" p13="27" p14="27"></CurveData> </Axis> <HotKeys> <Key Type="0" virtualKeyCode="106" Enable="1" Toggle="1" Trap="1" Device="{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}"></Key> <Key Type="1" virtualKeyCode="111" Enable="1" Toggle="1" Trap="1" Device="{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}"></Key> <Key Type="2" virtualKeyCode="109" Enable="1" Toggle="1" Trap="1" Device="{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}"></Key> </HotKeys> </Profile> PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Scott28 Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 Ok..... Ok, i'll try deleating the file. Yes, i have confirmed that the profile i was using was the same one that I have been using in the orrigional lockon for a long time. (and it worked fine) Thanks any way.
Scott28 Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 Nope, still screwing up. I don't know what you mean by all of that profile text. Is that what is screwing me up? if so, where do I put that?
Ironhand Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Nope, still screwing up. I don't know what you mean by all of that profile text. Is that what is screwing me up? if so, where do I put that? That's the XML file for your profile (actually HIS profile) in the Profiles folder of his TrackIR installation. If you wanted to try it, just copy/past it into NotePad and save it as (something).xml Rich YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
Scott28 Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 AARG! Ok, sorry, i copied the text into notepad and saved it as a .xml. It worked. but when i went back to make the axies linear, i could not only pan horizontaly. not vertically and no zoom. any idea what's going on here? does anyone have a profile with linear axies that works with CAW and CAW Carrier ops?
Ironhand Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Don't know why that would be happening. Are you sure you have them enabled under the Motion tab?
