In 2.1.1 (latest), when not using deferred rendering, the cockpit lighting becomes quite strong.

And maybe this is causing the haevy stutters in 2.1 with the Viggen.

I believe I read somewhere a while back when deferred shading was newly implemented, that they unfortunately at the moment can't make the models adopt to whether deferred shading is on or off, but have to choose one making the other one look to bright or dark. Heatblur choose to adopt Viggen to deferred shading on.

Hopefully ED will make it possible in the future for modules to adopt to whatever selection the customers prefer.

I might be wrong.

This is correct:

Lights in deferred rendering work on (more physically accurate) falloffs and intensities. This means, that to compensate for this new way of rendering lights, I had to increase the intensity of all cockpit lights to look appropriate in Deferred rendering mode.

Eventually non-deferred will be removed alltogether, so this is a temporary solution. Sorry! :(

One workaround is (if you have 1.5 installed) to grab the .edm file from the /Shapes/ folder and copy and replace the one in 2.1.

Yea I figured that would be the case. But no worries from my side, I was just experimenting with performance in none-deferred, noticed it, and figured Id post it, just in case.

Thx for the tip though. That wont break IC?
