stiggie Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Hi all, Apologies if this has been covered before, I've had a look and can't find anything recent. When I build a mission and select satellite view the terrain is out of focus in most areas, as I zoom in it gets worst. I can't see a thing. Makes it a little hard to place units etc. Thanks Tim
LURKINGBADGER Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 i agree, ME is just how it is, for now, but it is like that since ever. And there is no patch for that in the future i think. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
feefifofum Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 The new Caucasus map will feature the same high-quality satellite view we currently enjoy in Normandy and NTTR. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
SnowTiger Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I'm sure that when DCS World(s) 1 and 1.5 etc were originally created, the quality and resolution of Satellite Imagery was pretty minimal. The imagery available today for the caucus region may well still be pretty poor (i.e. 10 meters per pixel .. which is basically useless). Looking in Google Earth (for example) It is common to get 1m/px for many places and even .3m/px (where you can see kids playing with a soccer ball in a park for example) from satellite imagery. But there are still many areas where the imagery is meters per pixel at best i.e. a big blur !
