While the resolution of the Odyssey is about 80% better than the Vive, there is still the need for AA. What would be the most frame rate friendly way of loosing the jaggies? SSAA, MSAA, DRS, or some other method? Does DSR automatically turn on with all games, even those being played on a headset?

As far as I know, only the in game AA settings will effect the image in the headset currently. Headset is not even seen as a display device in Nvidia control panel.

At least that is my understanding, I am sure someone that knows more can maybe elaborate better on it.

dburne is correct about OR not being seen by Nvidia. Prior to Nvidia driver version 385.41 it was possible by doing an HDMI trick to affect the color vibrancy and the output dynamic range to 'full'. This made a huge difference when flying the Black Sea as the color there was somewhat washed out.

From 385.41 going forward these 2 adjustments have been disabled by Nvidia. I tried to get an answer from them and all I got was it may be restored in a future update...

I was thinking of rolling back my drivers but now I'm flying Nevada and with the deferred shading adjustment I have great color and vibrancy.

Thanks guys. So I’ll leave DSR off and use AA. Going to go try Halo recruit with AA on. I wonder if Fraps works with this HMD. I’ll have to check. I can’t wait for next Wednesday to get here...

Yes Fraps does work and will display in the headset.
