Knock-Knock Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I cant capture it, and its not a left eye, right eye thing. But, when viewing the LCTRL+Pause+Pause, frame counter with all the info, ParserCount, renderObjects, Obj and Trg have two numbers, flickering between each other. It only happens in the Viggen cockpit. Not external, and no other module does this. Ive attached two screenshots, where you can see the difference. Seems depending on when I capture, I might catch the one or the other. Funny enough, the shot with the highest numbers, has the highest framerate :D - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Knock-Knock Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 Penny dropped tonight. Mirrors. Switch them on in any other module, and voila, flickering framecounter thingy values. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
hideki2 Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I can confirm that. In Viggen extended performance data flickers like crazy in VR. Also tested that in SU 25 and it only happens when mirrors are enabled.
Cobra847 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 It's probably a shader or something that causes erroneous readings to be parsed to the statistics. Probably nothing incorrect. :) We don't do anything special with mirrorsactually. In fact, the Viggen doesn't have mirrors currently, just "pseudomirrors" (reflective texture). This is something that I would like to see in all modules, but why instead that reflective texture you don't put a plastic caps over the mirrors for those who don't use them to gain fps ? It would look much better compared to the "fake" mirrors..
hideki2 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Update: This actually also happens without VR.
