I have a button on the mouse for disable/enable trackIR while in copilot or door gunner position. When trackIR is disabled I automatically get mouse aiming. I need to hit numpad 5 to center the view though.

I'm not at my computer and can't remember what aming settings I have.

Have you tried RShift+T? I got the head movement (trackIR) and gun control (mouse) separated yesterday when trying myself in the Huey.

Don't forget to toggle "Clickable Mouse" while troubleshooting.

I figured it out, pressing Rshft T and it works, but pressing a joystick button bound to the very same command doesn't work for some reason.
