Zeroskills Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 How are CCIP attacks done in the dark? I noticed the boresite of the FLIR is offset from the HUD a small amount which means your gun, rocket and CCIP bomb sights don't quite line up. Do pilots in the real Harrier just use the FLIR for navigation and NVGs for attacking or is there some way to adjust the alignment of the sight and the FLIR?
chev255 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I know on F-15E they can manually align it on the ground before take-off, not sure regarding Harrier
Eagle7907 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I think there is a means to adjust, but I don’t thinks it’s implemented yet. When you SSS right to bring up FLIR video, there are PB selections for adjusting image vertically but nothing happens. Keen Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 This is planned to be implemented though? I just ran into this problem doing night attacks.
