Bisch Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Obutto R3volution - is it worth the money? I need a multi genre solution. I need a setup for flying and WASD-Games (FPS, Strategy). Decent capabilities for typing and racing sims would be a plus. I use Warthog, Crosswind pedals, TIR5 (Vive rarely). Would I need extra Warthog accessoires and if yes would Virpil be the better choice? Revvin Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Be careful on the pedal width, I think you might be ok but the Obutto Ozone won't fit the wider pedals like the Crosswind's. Other than that the Obutto cockpits are great for all manner of game genre's and for doing work on. I have the Ozone and its great for switching between flight sim mode with a centre mount for the stick and then for racing. I have a Fanatec CSW v2 hard mounted to the acrylic table top and I just remove the wheel and slot the joystick into the centre mount without any of the hardware clashing. Simply remove the centre mount stick and swing the keyboard and mouse tray around and I'm ready for FPS or RTS gaming. You can fix the tray in position but I find its stable and suitable for FPS games without tightening the fixing screw. The articulating tray on the R3volution is even better. With the acrylic table top I can place work documents on there and use the keyboard and mouse tray to work from home quite comfortably as the seat is comfortable and can be adjusted for comfort.
bohemond Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Atelophobia, I have the r3volution and it is fantastic for flight sims and general computing. If u have a Warthog, I’d definitely recommend getting the Obutto Warthog accessories ( throttle and stick mounts). For the Crosswinds, they fit only if you add the width adjustment accessories from MFG. My r3volution is setup with a Virpil T-50 Mongoose stick on a Warthog stick mount, X-52 throttle, MFG Crosswinds with width adjustment plate, homemade button box, and a CH MFP. I also purchased the acrylic table accessories. Hope this helps, any other questions feel free to ask.
Bisch Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 Hey guys! Thank you so much for the detailed answers! Highschool appreciated! I think I bought the WAP for the MFG pedals. I did dig the old confirmation mail and it says I also ordered cam5 and wap. Gotta look for those wap tomorrow. First I thought I wouldnt need the acrylic tables but I guess I ll order those now. Are the already screen holes in the Hotas mounts or do you need to find a fixing solution yourself? Do you guys use a Warthog extension? And if yes which and how long? Do you use multiple TFTs? Or speakers mounted? Soooo many questions ;) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Win 10 Pro | Trustmaster Warthog | MFG Rudders | VivePro Wireless Gear Lens modded | 1080ti OC Asus | 32 GB DD4 RAM | i7 9700 | Razer Chroma Orbweaver Keypad | Corsair KB | Derek Switchbox | USB Keypad | Logitech 502 | Jetseat with SimShaker Software | TrackIR5 | Autotkey | Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs | Monstertech Mounts | Saitek Throttle Quadrant

I’ve never used an extension on my ‘Hog stick before I switched to a Virpil T-50. As far as speaker layout, I only use headphones on my gaming rig. <s> bo
