Stalker06 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Has anyone had the problem of cutting off the engine when you retard the throttle all the way? I can't figure it out... It starts fine, but when I reduce the throttle all the way to idle, I get engine stop.:joystick:https://forums.eagle.ru/images/smilies/joystick.gif
uscstaylor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I had that happen to me to a couple of times. I unmapped and then remapped and it didnt do it anymore
awjudge Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Make sure you haven't enabled the Throttle Cutoff Switch. If you do, when you pull the throttle all the way back, it'll stop the engine.
Eagle7907 Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Ah ha! That’s why it happened to me. I was trying to release parking brake, but instead cutoff throttle. Restarted engine, but then would cutoff anytime brought to idle. Agent_wolf Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 What awjudge said. Only use the "throttle cut off lever" to shut the engine off. On startup make sure you dont move the throttle until the rpm is around 92 Then move the throttle forward. To move the throttle further deactivate the "parking brake lever". If the engine dont kick in when moving the throttle one detent forward then use the "throttle cut off lever" to move the throttle back then forward again and lock the throttle again with the "throttle cut off lever" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ANON6-1 | Wolfie
awjudge Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 For anyone with a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, you can use the throttle detent (also used in the A-10C) to manage the throttle cutoff switch. When the lever is forward of the detent, the cutoff switch is always disabled. Works perfectly.
Eagle7907 Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Throttle cutoff Yep that’s what I did. It helps to hover over with mouse to see what the description says before you click. That’s where it all went coo-coo. A10Yoda Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Unleashed the throttle cutoff will allow the throttle to move in and out of the throttle detent area freely. Once you've advanced the throttle to idle, leash the throttle cutoff to stop the throttle from moving to detent. The parking brake lever stops the throttle from moving beyond idle.. Sounds like you understand now.. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
